We have been teaching Spanish since 1993. We are very proud to say that we are one of the schools with more time in the art of Spanish Teaching in Cobán, Alta Verapaz. 
With the use of conversation and providing the students with real Spanish experiences we can assure that the time spent in the school is a wonderful learning process. Wonderful and effective, you will learn or practice the language in an easy and effective way. Of course, getting to Muqb'ilb'e school has always been a challenge. Why?
The school is not located in the center of the popular tourist destinations in Guatemala.The School is in Alta Verapaz, the perennially green part of Guatemala. And, Cobán is the Capital.
Alta Verapaz is exactly where you will enjoy nature, rivers, beautiful lagoons, caves, mountains in the cloud forest, rain forest.
But, what makes Cobán the best place to learn Spanish, is the fact that here you will find not too many persons who speak English. What is that mean for you? Well, your Spanish immersion is more real, you have to speak Spanish all the time. Well, almost all the time.
Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced
Beginners will enjoy learning Spanish at Muqb'ilb'e. The environment, the teachers, the resources, all this is directed to help the student to acquire the language. Teachers are well prepared, providing you with useful approaches to achieve your goal: Learn Spanish or Q'eqchi'.
Intermediate and advanced: The school enforces the total immersion, providing the students with many opportunities to practice. Conversation about real topics, grammar discussion, reading articles in context, etc, it's the common activity in the classroom.

Q'eqchi' it's a Mayan language spoken by a large population in Alta Verapaz, Petén, Izabal, Quiche, South of Belize and Mexico.
